CardioYoga will be offering a four-class yoga series for children in grades 1-3!
This class will begin on May 30 and run through June 20, meeting every Thursday from 3:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and is designed to give your children mental, physical and emotional tools to help them succeed and grow through the stages of their life. It will include an introduction to various postures, breathing techniques and yoga sequences. Age-appropriate stories, games and music will be utilized throughout the class.
As parents we continually strive to give the best to our children, but the best gift we can give them is teaching them how to take care of themselves. Yoga offers a multitude of benefits to children, and the earlier we can expose them to this practice the stronger their foundation for mindfulness will be.
Studies have shown that yoga may assist children in expressing and balancing their emotions. Physically, they will gain strength, flexibility and balance that aide in both body awareness and motor planning. Yoga may also teach them how to slow their mind down and focus on the present moment.
